Scatting to 'So What'
 

I am having jazz singing lessons and at the moment we have been working on Miles Davis' 'So What'. I sing Eddie Jefferson's lyrics and then comes the humiliating time when my teacher asks me to scat. I find it incredibly difficult as the tune is so complex. I wonder if anyone has heard of anyone who scats to this track. I am new to Music Banter but hope that someone here can help me! Thanks.

Scatting isnt that hard. Add some du du's and some bop bop's, just work with it, even with a complex melody, honestly just scat the tune again if the tune fits the filler. I'm sorry though, I havent heard that song, sorry I cant help you more.
