Artwork
This Album is fantastic, for me. Different contrasts of music within in the album, skips from Blues to Jazz.
It's written by Ravi Coltrane if anyone wants to check it out. :-))

Yeah, they are good. I'm still looking for Jazz music, and since this find I've found nothing that takes my fancy, anyone other suggestions? anyone? :o)

What have you listened to already?
P.S. Ravi's got some skills on the saxophone, but he's lightyears behind his father, who gets my vote for the most talented musician of all time, on any instrument (as in, I've never heard anyone who can play on his level on their instrument). |

Not much. I'm quite the Jazz n00b, to be honest. I've explored almost all fields of music bar this one. It's quite embarrassing say admit I know of little bands. BB-king I liked, Pat Metheny and some others. If you or anyone else has any bands they'd be so kind to suggest, that'd be fantastic :o)

Most of the people mentioned in that thread are great players, I'm not a fan of most fusion, myself, but whatever. Also, this thread: I also made this post a while back, which breaks it down into genres (although looking back, there're a few names I'd switch in, out, and around): http://www.musicbanter.com/showpost....5&postcount=31 Do some research, sample some stuff online. If you find someone you like, let me know and I'll reccomend some albums. |
