Yes.
It was an instrumental. Booker T & The MGs were the in-house band for Stax/Volt, backing for the likes of Sam & Dave and the great Otis Redding. Green Onions was a big favourite among the mods during the 60s. Why are you interested Luke? |

Luke.
Other instrumentals with a 60's soul feel well worth a listen; Exus Trek - Luther Ingram & His Orchestra, Double Cookin' by the Checkerboard Squares (also known as Strings A GoGo) and a track called Sliced Tomatoes - The Just Brothers...remember Fat Boy Slims 'Funk Soul Brother' (or whatever it was called), well that's the one sampled by Fat Boy Slim (thieving git) and it's a class tune in it's original form. |

Great band - Booker T. Jones was a great organ player, too. I love the Hammond B3 Organ… By the way, if you like Booker T's sound, you should check out the master of the B3, Jimmy Smith. A lot of his stuff is now remastered, and finally sounds CD-quality. Also check out John Medeski of Medeski, Martin & Wood - they're a terrific jam band, and John is an incredible organ player.
