The part of the Clapton/Johnson DVD I was actually referring to, is right at the beginning of session III. When Clapton states "Its almost like notes being picked" "But it cant be, its to fast".

Sorry for the misinterpretation blaster.

Haha no worries, man.

Just checking Robert Johnson out for the first time. I'm liking what I am hearing so far!

I was really skeptical when I first heard about Robert Johnson. I mean, it felt like a few famous guitar players preached about him so everybody just followed suit. I was so very wrong! That guitar playing...and that voice kills me! I should have listened to em sooner.

A side note, I think that my copy of his Complete Recordings box is the most expensive vinyl album I've bought so far. Not that it was THAT much...I just don't buy a lot of expensive stuff.

It's not original is it? If it was I bet it was THAT expensive.

I've never thought to check because for the amount of music I was getting it seemed worth it. I mean, it's not one of the 2-LP reissues that I see around these days. Its a 3-LP box with booklets and ad inserts. It was around 50 bucks because I got during a used vinyl sale (they originally wanted 100). So I guess it's original. It has been worth every penny, regardless.

I doubt it's original if it came with booklets and inserts. Those things are pretty much impossible to find. More so than any rare Beatles album.

Haha if they are that rare than yeah I'm sure it's not. I think I prefer it not to be , though, since I don't need to feel guilty when I go and play it. Keep it cheap, keep it simple. Regardless, it's an awesome set.

So is it true there has been another alternate take unearthed since that collection? I put minimal effort to find info about it upon overheard somebody talk about it at a record store, but I couldn't find any. Like, what's it an alternate take of?
