If its rowdy slide guitar you're after, what about Aussie Dave Hole?? or try Sonny Landreth. Of course, they're both "white honky" blues-rock guitarists.

" not white honky blues"
"Artists are artists, because they have an extra sensitivity "
How ironic.

George Thorogood is a wanker. There's a reason he drinks alone.
Try some of the following:
Chris Duarte
Indigenous
Damon Fowler
Tab Benoit
Jimmy Thackery
Tommy Castro
Luther Allison
Sonny Landreth
ZZ Hill

There are a ton of others that blow GT away......

That's a great list. Especially Duarte and Indigenous.

Maybe add some Clutch to that:

Seasick Steve and the Immortal Lee County Killers are getting most of my attention blues-rock wise at the moment.

Also check out The Gun Club, Pussy Galore, Cows, The Brain Snaps, and John Lee Hooker.

There's no truer statement than that.

If you want energy, than try the Black Keys, particularly the older stuff.
