Cool new boy band! (jazz, genre, record companies, talents)

I read in the newspaper today that record companies have sent out advertisements for the first jazz-boy band.
It was in the newspaper so, I think it's legit. I don't understand the concept but they're trying to ruin the genre in my opinion. They are gonna put random 'talents' in a group together (possibly from different countries) and make them into the BSB of jazz......
i don't know, i think the record companies are pushing it...
