The Amazing "Brownbird" Rudy Relic
 

I grew up with this kid, went to high school with him, and almost started a band with him. When i moved to az and started my band, we played a party with his punk band called the snotz. He was crazy, a mixture of glenn danzig and gg allin. Havent seen him or heard from him in over 10 years.

Yesterday I find his Myspace page. Hes playin good ol fashion, foot stompin, hootin and hollerin blues. Old school style. him, a kazoo, and an old acoustic guitar. He plays clubs but can usually be found bluesin' it up on the NY Subway. Check the guy out, its seriously some of the rawest blues ive heard in a long time and hes already getting alot of attention.

[Brownbird Rudy Relic]…is something of an anomaly, a traditionalist who blends early aspects of the blues with rhythmic incantations, reveling in a regression-as-salvation model, all the while opting for an all-original-composition-all-the-time-methodology that is both fresh and contemporary. His tunes are stark minimalist breakdowns of broken dreams and dark county rags that shake, shimmy and bust at the seams. His hollers are soaked in gasoline and set a flame, invoking the spirit of a time long dead, and bellowing with baritone thunder as they are extinguished by the stomp of his feet and pomp of his guitar. -E.J. glad you liked it right-track, i was hooked when i first heard it, listend to the songs all day long, over and over again, i cant wait till he sends me the rest of his recordings.

id have to find a place to host them, but i should be able to cuz Ive got some friends that have a website where they could do it. Id have to ask rudy first too.

he finally sent me his cd (lazy bastard, took long enough), i got it over the weekend and its incredible if anyone wants me to send it through that file share upload email thingy, let me know.

ill bring the cd to work tomorrow and that upload email thingy i was thinking of is called oddly enough "You Send It", ive sent music through it before and it seems to work well, what ill do is upload the tracks, it will send you a link to download them, pretty simple and the links last 7 days or 25 downloads, whichever comes first.

I wasn't able to play any of the songs... i unzipped it and everything but none of my players will play them.

I noticed that they are still in .cda format. did you rip this cd fenix or did you just copy and paste the tracks from the cd?

anyone else have this problem?

I had a listen not only does he sound singing sound like it is from the turn of the century so does the lofi recording.
