Default Hi from Bristol UK

New member here. I’m 67 and retired. My music tastes are quite wide
Ranging from the rock of the 70s through Punk into Metal.
I also enjoy gardening and drawing.
Please be gentle with me

welcome, there are quite a few people here who like to draw or paint, we have an art thread for that. Show us some of your work if you like! Also, what musicians and bands are you mainly into?

Thanks for the welcome Marie. Will hunt down the art thread and post a few of my pics.
Still trying to find my way round.
Cripes trying to nail down my favourite bands is difficult but here are some:

Black Sabbath
Wishbone Ash
Massive Waggons
Nightwish
Scorpions
And many more.

Bristol is near the top of my list of UK destinations I want to visit (only been to London and Edinburgh so far), mostly cause it's been mythologized in the fiction of one of my favorite writers, Angela Carter

https://www.amazon.com/Angela-Carter.../dp/1911522523

In general, most of the things I've heard about the West Country have been really tempting.

Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome jadis

I live equi distance between Bristol and Bath. Bath is a beautiful city and full of history.
The west country is definitely a nice place to live.
Hope you do get the chance to visit.
