Default hello folks!

Hey all!

Glad to see an old school forum like this still around.

Let me introduce myself. I'm a 40 years old music lover actually living in London, UK but originally from Italy. Music has always been my main passion in life, as a listener and as a musician as well. I'm a guitarist and I used to play in various bands throughout my teens and 20s. Basically all my friends have always been either musicians or music lovers like myself, even though 5 years ago my job (not music related) brought me here in the UK and it's been quite hard to find real connections.

I have a broad musical taste, a metalhead at heart (up the Irons!), jazz lover and overall curious listener I can space from progressive death metal (my favourite band, if I was to choose, must be Opeth) to dark IDM albums (stuff like Clark or more garage like Burial). I really enjoy old bebop jazz (Parker/Gillespie/Monk) and lots of jazz rock / psych stuff (from late Miles Davis to the Mahavishnu Orchestra and the Maestro Frank Zappa).

I really enjoy garage psychedelic stuff as well, from the nuggets era to the newer stuff from The Black Angels, Dead Meadow or more heavy psych like another one of my favourite bands ever Mammatus.

I don't disdain at all raw stuff, punk n' roll. Raw Power by The Stooges is one of my all time favourite records and my recent obsession must be Idles, such a great great band.

I could go on forever, but I guess you've got the picture. As long as the music is good, made with passion and a certain sincerity I'm happy to listen.

Happy to be here, and nice to meet you all!

See you around.
