Smile Hello Goodbye!

Hi everyone!

My name is Mat and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I've been studying piano for a couple of years, and I work as an engineer and Android developer.

Music I like?
Beatles, Chicago, Eagles, Queen, Genesis, The Alan Parson Project, Daft Punk, Hall & Oates, Lang Lang, Martha Argerich... well, lets say a little of (almost) everything

What piano do I have at home?
KAWAI CA48

Ask whatever you want, I'll try to answer

Hello Neapolitan!

I didn't know about it!
Yesterday night, when I saw your message, I heard a few songs of the video you linked and also later searched for a couple more videos of him.
It's really great!
It is amazing that the songs can be recreated so well just with the piano (mainly).
I'll need to give it a try!

Thank you very much for letting me know about it!

River or Boca?

Do you like 'mate'?

What are your thoughts on empanadas?

Who is your favourite band from Argentina?

Welcome.

Hello Cuthbert!

Hahaha! You want to divide the Forum in two?
I'm a River fan

Yes I like mate, although I prefer coffee.

I love empanadas!!! I make them from time to time too!
I used to think that they were argentinians, but when visiting Spain I learned they are not, and nowadays you can find them almost anywhere.

Favourite band from Argentina?
Soda Stereo! Unfortunately, it doesn't exist any longer.
I'm unable to put links to their videos in YouTube, but you can find them easily.
Just search for the following tags in YouTube: soda stereo live river plate
One of the best Argentinean and South American rock bands of all times!

Cuthbert, you seem to know Argentina's culture pretty well!
Have you been here?

You could have also asked Maradona or Messi?

No but I speak to two people from Argentina and one from Uruguay, we talk about these things quite often. We started speaking in Spanish but their English is better than my Spanish and so it just went into English, and they like to practice their English too.

Are there any other bands you'd suggest from Argentina? I like Soda Stereo quite a bit.

Messi BTW

Hola Cuthbert!

Yes, but lets take the Time Machine and go a couple of decades ago!
The following are two of the most influential Argentinian rock bands. Highly probable that you already know them.

*Sui Generis --> You could investigate also Charly Garcia you won't be dissapointed, he was a magnificent musician and at the same time controversial.

*Seru Giran --> Charly was part of this band too!

Now coming a little nearer you can take a look at:
*Los Fabulosos Cadillacs --> You can search for the video Matador
*Divididos
*Attaque 77

*Virus --> From the 80's

Enjoy!

Hello there! I've been to Buenos Aires some 6 years ago. Probably the most beautiful city in Latin America.
