What message boards are still a thing!?
 

Hey guys!

I feel like I'm back in the mid-2000s haha. I used to frequent message boards back in the 2000's and then social media and stuff took off and I kinda fell off online communities besides Reddit - but that's pretty casual/impersonal/overwhelming at times. I'm getting hit with nostalgia posting here - hoping this is a nice community.

Hi there. For me the heyday of message boards came with the late 90s (not far off).

I was on a MS Chat room in the late 90's and did a meet up with 2 ladies from said chat room. They were nice and all, but I ran out of that restaurant we met at as fast as my dumb ass feet could go.

why? I need the full story

I don't know what message boards are still a thing, but certainly not this one. Sorry, cuz.

I'll just say that although they were beautiful on the inside, there was entirely too much of them on the outside, and I'm a shallow person. I did thank them for the meet-up and left cordially though. As far as continuing conversations in the chat room, I made a few comments and slowly tapered off.
