Pistachios are saltier and therefore better, almonds have a more subtle flavour than cashews, and a better texture I think. I don't like the buttery flavour and soft greasy texture of cashews too much

Of course, but for some reason pistachios always taste saltier. And apart from that they have more flavour

Pistachos sound like that painter who lost an ear.
Clearly honey roasted almonds is the way to go.

I think that's more due to their conventional preparation processes than the nuts themselves. Cashews are generally steamed and I think that pistachios are prepped in a saline solution then roasted or something along those lines.

Fair enough, pecans are my third choice. It also depends on whether you eat nuts as a snack or an ingredient though. For instance, I love hazelnuts and walnuts as ingredients but as a snack they're meh

That's true, but I'm too lazy to consider that as a factor in ranking nuts

True dat, but I think that the way that the shell slows down the eating process makes pistachios last longer than a regular bag of nuts which evens out the price difference a bit.
