Keep in mind, there are a lot of alts there. Many of the forums are for authours, but as with a lot of forums they have a general one: "GB" or "general board." That's where many trolls hang out, and pro- and anti- Trump types fight it out. However, a few have been fighting long before 2016—over 10 years earlier.

Most of those into sex or erotica tend to stay away—presumably they have better things to do. One on GB has been reportedly banned over 20x. It's mostly male—most of the women—or at least those posing as such—tend to hang around the Playground, fetish and sexuality, and the BDSM forums.

Which kinda puts me off them. It'd be tolerable if they were actually good. Now it's just hipster racism (or actual racist) and alt-right "incels" yammering.

I first read of 4chan less than about 12 years ago, so I might have missed that train when Anonymous was with them.

Even the movie V for Vengence was a bit disappointing with the unnecessary torture scene and blowing up of the Parliament—I think it was RatWiki that said that in dictatorships parliaments tended to be impotent and were among the last few bastions of free speech.


Keep in mind that I have no pressing problem with PB save that they require personal info to join and I
don't like lying (save maybe the odd instance or in humour or attempts thereof)—a big reason why I'm not on Facebook.

I can't say I hate racists, I just oppose their racism and at times mock it and the basis of their racism. As for "incels" there's no such thing, or very little: e.g. if one can afford to rent a van and be prepared to die or spend a long time in prison for mass murder, one can probably muster up the ability to get a date, or at least a prostitute.

I was more into metal then than now, but it comes up.
