Hello MB, how are things? I'm a music fan (yes, I'm stating the obvious) and welcome any questions you all have.

Don't tell anyone what kind of music you like or who your favorite bands are, especially if the person asking has a blue username.

Welcome to MB! Good job at sticking with it even with the shitposting in plug.

I see you listen to Cruachan from your last.fm. What'd you think of their newest album? I thought it was probably their best since Folklore.

Unless it's me, I'm a good guy.

I found that Nine Years of Blood was too heavy for the songwriting, it should have been more folkish. Keith Fay's unclean vocals didn't appeal to me and there were some fun moments when he was doing his cleans. So overall I gave the album 3/5. Now that was my first ever listen to the band.

Welcome mate. I assume you're into doom metal?

I listen to doom metal, but it's not my favorite style.

So just an arbitrary screen name? Clearly I can respect that.

Maybe I have the name because of the meaning of the words
Doom - death, destruction, or some other terrible fate
Raider - a person who attacks an enemy in the enemy's territory

Yet, I could have taken the name from Skylanders in which a group of strong villains are called Doom Raiders.

Also, possibly I nicked the name from wrestling. There is a nXt tag team called War Raiders and I might have just replaced War with Doom and made Raiders singular so it wouldn't be the same.

Or like you're asking about, it could just be arbitrary.

Take the name however you want - just knowing it doesn't have to do with doom metal.

Has anybody on Earth ever made a Skylanders reference?

You should check out Folklore then, I don't think there's any unclean vocals if I remember correctly and it's probably their most pure folk metal album:

Probably some gaming channel out there at some point.
