Hey guys, thanks for advice (?) and welcomes.

As far as genres go, I'm not too well diverse in the specific ones, but I listen to a bit of hip-hop, rock, jazz, classical, and some other random types that I have no idea what to place them under.

Some of my favorite artists and bands are Kendrick Lamar, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Kasami Washington, Tyler the Creator, Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, and Nujabes.

I realize that it's a pretty strange combo. I'm really open to any and all music suggestions. At this point in my life, I'm really getting in to more melancholic music.

Welcome to MB!

You have some good picks there, Pink Floyd and Nujabes are great. Though you need some metal in your life, so how about a metal cover of a Pink Floyd song for starters?

^ No, No, Unitron! ( ) Alteriods is getting into melancholic music - he/she needs The Murder of Crows:-

Right now, I'm trying to become an electrical engineer. I'm only a freshman though, so I'm not 100% sure that I will finish with that major, but as of right now, that's what I have my sights set on.

Well if we're talking prog rock, he needs some Gentle Giant:
