Welcome to MB! You have good taste! (Well, apart from Indie. Ugh.)
Looking forward to seeing you around.

I haven't been following computer science proper lately, but someone claimed to have solved the Riemann hypothesis in math which has implications about the distribution of primes, and primes are useful in cryptography and cybersecurity; it would probably be the biggest discovery in mathematical history if it proved to be correct. Pretty cool stuff.

Indie was kinda my introduction to lots of music and much of it still holds up, though it makes up less of my consumption now than it did then. Thanks for the welcome!

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Welcome! Looks like you have good taste. What are some other artists that you like apart from Slint? I met Peggy after one of his shows once btw, he's a lot less confrontational when he's not performing. (btw Merit is right, you can DL my music for free. No need to buy.)

Some non-harsh artists I like: Belle and Sebastian, Nick Drake, The Mountain Goats, Sparklehorse, Big Blood & the Bleedin' Hearts, Jon Fahey, Pygmylush, Natural Snow Buildings, PJ Harvey, Joni Mitchell, Mazzy Star.

And some harsher/noisier stuff: Gorguts, pg.99, Lingua Ignota, Refused, Prurient, City of Caterpillar, Glenn Branca, Les Rallizes Denudes, Poison the Well, Unwound, Murmuüre, Dissection.

I've found it best to parse it out like that, because when they're all jumbled together it doesn't seem to make as much sense, lol.

I love your title to death. I like your selection of post-hardcore bands. You like NoMeansNo?

Soundcloud rapper is my dream, but unfortunately for now I'll just have settle for the international acclaim and multiple record labels and unanimous praise as one of the most distinct and original artists of the modern era.
