Primus are pretty dull but I haven't listened to them enough to become emotionally invested in my distaste.

I mean that their dumb comedy schtick with the silly voices and goofy sounding songs is lame and annoying.

They're not just being ironic. They're winking and rolling their eyes all the way through every note so hard that it's cringey.

They're like a rock version of Doctor Bombay.

It's like with B movies. If it was a botched, but earnest attempt at making a real movie, like Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space, then the cheesiness can be endearing. When someone tries to be lame on purpose and make a dumb movie, it's just annoying. Primus are not Plan 9 From Outer Space. ICP just might be.

Primus are more like that movie with that dude who is disguised a turtle.
