Hi Im New
Hi Folks
I love all kinds of music, everything from Rock Jazz Fusion to Folk. It would be impossible for me to name my favourite bands as there is soo much I love, but I do lean towards classic rock/blues rock/folk rock. I enjoy photographing local bands in my area. I also am part of a youtube channel that debates and reviews classic albums. Anyway, I look forward to posting and joining in on music discussions! Thanks! |

I like Sun Ra, Wizzard, The Free Spirits, maybe cliché but Zappa.
For classic rock I like all kinds of bands, I like popular stuff like Zeppelin and Grand Funk Railroad, to more obscure bands like Blodwyn Pig and The Groundhogs. Any suggestions? |

Was just listening to Townes last night. You dig hillbilly music at all?

Zappa thwarted cliches...then ran those thwartations into the ground with some variations along the way.
@OP contrarians are always welcome, I'm sure that you'll do well here.

Thanks everyone!
Don't mean to slag Zappa atall, love Zappa, just thought maybe its not a deep pick for a jazz musician as he is so famous, but he is also very prolific and fits into a lot of categories, and none at the same time. Can't say I listen to much Hillbilly music, any suggestions? Ever hear of a band called profane sass? Does that count? Hey Occulthawk, you ever listen to Blodwyn Pig? They are kind of jazz/blues/rock from the early 70's, the guitarist was the original guitarist in Jethro Tull. |
