Chicken Train Introduction
My username was meant to be arbitrary. I found the Ozark Mountain Daredevils' song after the fact and it's just okay.
Chicken Train - Male - 22 I tend to operate in stints and have not been listening to a lot of music lately. Nevertheless, it's my favorite stint and for various reasons, I can't be involved much with IRL groups. So here I am. I lean to jazz and classical music, though I have a complex history with many genres. |

For jazz, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Duke Ellington. Charles Mingus, a little.
I like Charles Lloyd's Forest Flower, Cecile McLorin Salvant's Dreams and Daggers and Dave Holland's Concert of the Birds. I think I can get into Sam Rivers. Kieth Jarrett's Koln Concert stresses me out. For classical, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Chopin's piano music, Mozart's operas, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. I occasionally look for avant-garde, like Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring or improvisation, any of John Mortensen's work. I like some of the Grateful Dead albums and think Wucan's Vikarma rivals Led Zepplin IV. It's got better lyrics, anyway. Quote:
