Their music is boring as ****. I hate the way their fans act like they’re on to some kind of incredible pyramid unlocking psychedelic secret. It’s like yo people, it’s not deep. It’s not psychedelic. It’s boring ass watered down metal.

You'd have to not be aware of any kind of prog rock besides Pink Floyd singles to consider Tool in any way progressive or experimental and not just tepid, pretentious alt metal.

I'd say "Killing Is My Business.... and Business Is Good." (My favorite 90s Megadeth album would be Countdown to Exctinction.)

And as far as Tool goes, it's mostly just nostalgia for me. My mother listened to them when I was young.

I had never heard of that, but after looking it up, if you were to do that with the type of ammonia used in refrigeration, you would die a painful death.

Ammonia used in refrigeration is very different from the type you buy at the store. The stuff you buy at the atore has about 2-3% ammonia, the stuff used in refrigeration is anhydrous ammonia, which is at least 99.997% pure ammonia. That being said, I am not sure what companies/"brands" actually supply anhydrous ammonia... I'll ask around and get back to you on that.

I actually read about ammonia cokes from my former boss who is now a writer. Apparently they sold them at the soda counters in the fifties and sixties. I think it was from something called spirits of ammonia which I assume could have been used in cooking at the time. (It wasn't actually ammonia obviously)

Yeah, pure ammonia is NH3. According to Google, the stuff used in ammonia coke is ammonium hydroxide, which is NH4OH. Apparently you can also still buy the stuff.

What punk band were Pearl Jam cashing in on? Led Zeppelin?

Killing Is My Business goes head to head with Rust in Piece for me. 90s I guess Countdown to Extinction, but I have a sort of attachment to Risk cause I'm always the only one in the room ready to defend it.

I don't hate Risk. The standout song on that album for me was "Time: The Beginning."

Wut? The Time songs are awful and even I won't carry water for them. "Insomnia" and "Breadline" are the co-headliners.
