Mord... no worries... it's all good. I work in the oil fields of Alaska, aka Hell. I've been seasoned.

MERIT. I love you, too.

You're an observant chap, aren't you. I work (hence, live) in Alaska for 3 weeks, then I go home to Utah (or travel abroad) for 3 weeks.

I got it rough.

So far I've visited Japan, Thailand, Ireland (twice), Northern Ireland, Paris (for a day only), Fiji, and Italy (I LOVE Italy! I've been there 4 times--Napoli and Capri. Va bene! I'm Italian-American).

I need to get to the UK more!! I was going to head to Ireland again this fall. LOVE the trad music there!

Do you travel much, MLM?

Only been to European countries (and my list is not as impressive as yours ). I want to do more though.

What did you make of NI when you went there? Was that the only place in the UK you went to?

I actually adore NI and the people--I was in Belfast and found, in general, people to be very genuine, fun, witty, charming and hospitable. I stayed with a family there and was made to feel part of it.

I travel not to see things but chat and become acquainted with local people-- listen to THEM, know what they love most in life, what their dreams are, what music they enjoy, what their concerns are... I feel quite humbled to meet wonderful, gracious people where ever I go on the Globe.

Actually, I'd love to live in the UK (England or Scotland) someday.

I feel extremely fortunate that I've a job where I'm afforded time off to travel. And I found, you can go fly cheap! I found some tickets for 300 - 800 USD round trip to Europe, and I use Air Bnb instead of fancy hotels.

Yes, just NI, MLM, but I wish to get to Scotland next year as well as the infamous Birmingham, best borough in the West Midlands!

Aww.... thanks! MLM!

I will stick around! I've been looking around the forums and see some TOTALLY fun posts from charming, hilarious people!

When I get home, I'll have time to read more on the Forum (I don't have a TV so the internet is my form of home entertainment).

I really LOVE.... no, wait.... NEED.... music; as Ray Charles said, "Music to me is like breathing - I don't get tired of breathing, I don't get tired of music."

So, I have TONS to learn from you guys!
