New lad here, I'm Raffaele, I've just turned 21 and I'm from Napoli, there's no community here that covers music I'm really into (it's either 70's rock or Italian rap ****) so I'm here, I want to just talk about music and discover new artists.

I'm a big Flaming Lips and Swans fan, but I can enjoy every genre as long as it's made with taste :D

What else... I'm studying to be a psychologist, I love black humor and of course I'm Italian, so I'm sexually depraved and horny 100% of the time.

I'm not really good at introducing myself so... I'm preatty mutch done.

70's rock is available for discussion here. Like, a lot of it. Probably going to have a rough time with Italian rap. Also, Flaming Lips and Swans are none of those things so that's interesting. I'm a huge Swans fan myself. That's cool.

Exo you misunderstood, I meat that every community in Italy is about either 70s rock or Italian rap, but I'm generally not interested in those things.
Of course I dig some Bowie or Public Image Ltd or others 70s classics and some Italian rap (Co'Sang and Luché are brilliant in my opinion).

Never been a huge fan of horror in general, sorry :D

Ciao RB17. My name is Neapolitan, but I don't live in Napoli. I love 70s, mostly all of it, anything from Progressive Rock to Punk. I don't know anything about Italian rap. As far as bands from Italy out now I like Soviet Soviet and ... I wish I knew more of Italian bands. :shycouch:

I'm a recent fan, their newer stuff is how I got to know them so that holds a special place in my heart. Gotta say The Seer, To Be Kind as a close second.

Well if you're into prog rock and want to listen to Italian stuff you should check out Franco Battiato, he's a total commie, it's cool for me but might be a problem for somebody so, uomo avvisato, mezzo salvato.

Welcome. You like Ufomammut? They're the only Italian band I know off the top of my head.

I'm more into their more psych and ambient-ish newer music, metal isn't usually my thing.
Really enjoyed Ecate.

I've Been a fan of all their releases so far. Though as I recall the only thing they have done that had an ambient personality was the collab they did with lento. What music are you referring to when you say ambient?

Some parts of Ecate, like the beginning of #1 track Somnium or track #6 Deamons, are very stripped-down, simple and repetitive, maybe I used "ambient" a little out of context but that's why I wrote "ambient-ish" :D

I think Lucifer Songs has some more atmospheric parts too.
