Cool Welcome guys and gals!

Hi newbie here,

as you may tell, I've had a bit of experience.

My collection is very diverse, I'll listen to anything at least once. I denounce any idea of a hierachy between any musical genres and I love music as it is.

My biggest areas personally have been:

Contemporary classical (modernism/"post"-modernism)
Progressive metal
Jazz (especially bebop, with traditional jazz)
Avant garde everything (jazz, metal/rock, electronic)
Folk
New Age
Indian classical music
Japanese traditional music

Welcome to Music Banter. I love all those genres you listed, although I've neglected Japanese traditional music lately.
