Hi, I'm new
Hi! I'm Amanda
I think I might've made an account here a few years ago? If I did, I don't remember the UN or anything at all, but I figured I'd visit back here since I've been looking for an active forum to join that has decent members haha. I actually used to belong to another forum about 6 years ago (muzicforums) until it met its slow painful death in 2012 or 2013 iirc. So I kind of listen to a big variety of music.. My favorite singer of all time is Frank Sinatra, and my favorite band is the Misfits. I'm also a big fan of Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam. My favorite genres are metal (Power, prog, stoner, and heavy for the most part), and punk rock. My all time favorite metal band is Theocracy (who actually has an album coming out this month that I've been waiting 5 years for, I'm stoked af). I also have a pretty big love for Dream Theater, Metropolis pt. 2 Scenes From a Memory is probably my favorite album of all time. Lately, though, I've been listening to a lot of very indie Japanese music, Meiko Haigo and Sachiko Ito are my absolute favorite female JP singers/musicians, I'm currently in the process of collecting all of Haigou's albums. I feel kind of embarrassed to mention this haha, but I also am big into listening to vocaloid music. There's a lot of really nicely done music in vocaloid that gets little to no recognition, and there's a little bit of every genre pretty much for everyone to be able to enjoy. Also I'm always up for music recommendations, so if anyone thinks there's any bands or artists that I might like (Especially recent ones, I've been really out of the loop lately as far as music goes) feel free to tell me about them and I'll definitely give them a listen! I don't play any musical instruments really anymore, but I used to play the violin (I played all four years of high school + 2 years in college), I started taking piano lessons in college, but when I decided music wasn't the right major for me, I didn't really have any need to continue. I'm thinking about picking up the guitar or something again, though. I also kind of want to learn to play the viola, it's such a beautiful sounding instrument. As far as other hobbies, I love video games a lot, I own a lot of game systems. My favorite game system is the PS1, very closely followed by the SNES. I'm also a big rhythm game fanatic, so if you want me to never shut up, just hit me up about any rhythm game pretty much. Misc. things I like: Cartoons, drawing (though I'm terrible at it), different foods from different cultures, Seinfeld, most things that are cute and/or silly Okay so I'll end it here, it'll be nice to meet you all! |

Haha we all have to have that ****-taste band we like
Hmm... Tomba and Parappa are probably my favorites. There's also this game I used to play a lot when I was a kid called Tail Concerto that was a lot of fun. Also, the Spyro/Crash series were my childhood. |
