Default Greetings

My name is Bailey, or B. James, if you will. I am a 23 year old father, aspiring to create a full time career with my music; one baby step at a time.

I first became involved with music when I discovered the ease of a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). I became fascinated by being able to record sounds, and eventually made my way into a friends basement to record his 3 pce band with one dynamic microphone. Anyone that knows about audio engineering, knows how well that turned out! Afterwards I began experimenting with effects on my acoustic guitar and made some really... Interesting experimental stuff. After a while my hobby fell off, and I essentially gave up on music as my mother told me it wasn't a worth while endeavor and I'd never make decent money from it, so I shouldn't try to begin with and to get a real job. So, ambitions crushed, I began altering my mindset to accept another job I may be comfortable doing every day, for the rest of my life... None fit the bill. After my daughter was born, I quickly learned how much FUN children can be! (No seriously, I want like 10, they're so freakin awesome............. NOT!) I eventually felt as though something was missing in my life, a part of me wasn't there. Then I realized, music. I NEED to make music. And thus, mid 2015 I began making my own hip-hop music.

I have now launched an idie record label, I'm going to be remastering my debut album with a far better microphone than the Guitar hero mic it was recorded with, I'm releasing a conceptual EP this month, and I am working on a second album. I don't plan on signing additional artists until I further my knowledge in marketing and can absolutely provide those whom I do sign, a SOLID platform to promote their music on and guarantee an increase in revenue. One baby step at a time, hoping not to find a shiny object and stick it in an outlet to see what happens.

How's everyone else doing?
