I feel like this is not a correct usage of "obfuscate" but I can't be sure. Like, obfuscating something should be more abstract than literally covering something up.

I just looked up the definition. You might be right. Might be a matter of interpreation or intent I suppose.

From Oxford:

"The action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible."
