Oh no! Severe sciatic pain is the worst. The simplest way for me to explain it to anyone is to ask them to bend a finger backwards to the point of pain. Now imagine that's your entire lower torso, but being bent back even further.

You getting relief from the PT exercises/stretches?

I've missed you too, Marie! :love: Thanks so much. I'm getting excellent care and going from strength to strength with the physio. It's a gradual process and, as Lisna stated, requires patience.

Still feeling somewhat of a failure in not making the speech but must admit, I was secretly glad I got out of it. I think publicly speaking would have been even harder for me than the surgery was!

That's a very good description!

PT exercises/stretches make me feel more supple/less stiff (which really helps with the foot drop) but not helping much pain-wise. That's where the Tramadol comes in - which doesn't really eradicate the pain but sort of smooths it out, if that makes sense. The worst pain arises when the PT has me pick up marbles with my toes - yikes, lol.

There's a little bit but not much. Men in my family seem to just get the salt and pepper grey so fingers crossed. My grandfather is almost 90 and still has mostly black hair.
