Gorgeous!

Lisnaholic 07-24-2021 07:51 AM

Yep! and of course a photo fails to capture the exhilaration of a cold wind and the feeling that you could walk forever. Having said that, I was only ever a day-hiker, heading back to the pubs and bed&breakfast houses in the evening, thank you very much!

You don't even need google to tell you that, just try doing a big squat session, you're more likely to get muscle ache in your glutes than quads.

I feel glutes with squats but not that much. And when I'm fatigued it's because of quads not because of glutes.
Never heard anyone promote squats as a primary glute exercise although someone with a huge squat will probably have decent glutes.
I do hip thrusts for glutes, that **** lights them up.

I don't do huge squats but have decent glutes, mostly thanks to squats + lunges...:)

grindy 07-25-2021 03:41 AM

Yeah, lunges are pretty good for glutes. Especially with a big enough stride.

Plankton 07-25-2021 05:35 AM

Hows my lungy glutes?

That slice of my 2nd screen lol It's all backwards too. That pic in the BG is our first facility we put together. It was on TV in the bg on some haunted house show a loooong time ago, because the main building is haunted.

I can't find the show, and I don't even remember what it was called, but there's a pic where you can see it off the the right on #4 of this:

Yeah, I guess it's pretty close

I've always been told my hair look like I've just traveled in time from the 60s (apart from the times I've cut my hair short)
N don't have them anymore. My ex-girlfriend asked me to cut them down, just two weeks before she cheated on me several times with a guy she met on an internet forum, afer we've been together for four years.
Now I feel like my sacrifice went for nothing ("hair! grow back!")

So I've just acquired access to may father's photo vault. He is constantly taking photos for the last 20 years, and so he has over 2K pictures of me from different stages in life.
Here are some highlights after my first watch:

1 year old me, beginning to plan my world domination:

2 year old me, watching Yellow Submarine and reading Dali (apparently):

3 year old me, being clearly confused by the world:

Those are really great pictures. Seeing them all in a row is like fast-forwarding through the film Boyhood

Plankton 12-06-2021 01:45 PM

Your Dad is a darn good photographer.

Marie Monday 12-06-2021 02:18 PM

in the spirit of childhood pictures, here's little me birdwatching. It's a phone camera photo of a photo but oh well

I know, right?

All these are taken by him, apart from the one where he's in the picture

His idea is to make a "book of life" at the end of his own path

This (and all your photos) are adorable, Mucha - so cute! That hat, that face! And I agree that your dad is a great photographer.

Marie, what a beautiful child you were. This is such a lovely photo! And the fact that you were birdwatching makes it even more beautiful. :)

Mucha na Dziko 12-06-2021 03:07 PM

Thanks for posting your photo, Marie;I don't think you've done that very often here. You were a sweet looking child, and whoever took your photo caught a perfect smile of the "what-is-the-Mona-Lisa-really-thinking" type.

Nice pix!
I think this was taken to send to a girlfriend in Ontario when I was 15.
I know this now because when her marriage was failing a few years ago,
she searched me out online and sent this photo back to me in an email.

Channeling his Marcus King well before Marcus King was a thing.

rostasi 12-07-2021 12:15 PM

I don't know who that is, but the hat was surely something that was given to me at the last moment -
not something I would've ever worn in those days. It was early 70s and I loved the black fashion trend.
(People didn't have a coronary while screaming "appropriation" in those days).

Plankton 12-07-2021 01:50 PM

It's the hat:
