it's funny because my cousins have actually confused venus (at least i assume it was venus) for a ufo before when they came down to visit

they couldn't figure out why there was only one bright star out before it was even properly dark out

they were explaining it to me with such excitement, apparently it was the highlight of their 12 hour drive. then when i told them it was probably just a planet, they thought i was joking regardless of how many times i said "nah, but seriously though i think it was venus you saw"
