http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/...psfe3ca670.jpg Eventful day at the range. Left with a black and blue shoulder from the AR-15. It was a tad to heavy for me. And got into a serious fight in the parking lot with a classmate that was carelessly shooting next to me. I got in his face, my professor had to break that up. I only snapped after he loaded the wrong bullets into the gun and had 3 miss fires and oh yeah he was aiming at the ceiling. Guns aren't the issue, it's the moron with ****ty aim and a quick trigger finger that are terrifying. This should have been in your day thread but fuck it. Oh yeah that's Jasmine and Tiquan. |
If only there was a mic attached to your ear muffs. Hot gamer girls make big money on twitch.tv. Go do jumping jacks for a dollar and get all the bling from rich nerds.

Edit: If the price is right well talk aboutjumping jacks I dont work out.Lest I loose my jelly and look like Linda Hamilton. |
Last time I went to the range I kept getting pinged occasionally with shells popping out of the dude's AR just to the left of me.
He got a bit offended when I asked him to move over a bit. WTF? Don't stand, don't stand, don't stand so close to me. |

You gotta find an outdoor range man. Whole nother thang, plenty of space and it just feels right. Plus then you can shoot some ol' smoky black powder which I assure you is tits.

Edit: There is a picture my professor has that I want a copy of that he took with the DSLR. It's me with the glock, and he took it when I was looking at something but my left hand is curled into a fist, and I am not smiling. It's a very black pantheresque pic. FIGHT THE POWER. |

Yup... Four bucks for the whole freakin day. We're spoiled here. Plus a trap range, thinking I'm gonna get the man and I a trap shooter for valentines day because that looks way fun. This is about how much space you get, and even on a Sunday the place isn't too crowded so you usually get even more. http://www.michigan.gov/images/dnr/P...s_380058_7.jpg |
^^^^^^
Nice. Nothing like that here in SoCal suburbia. |
Its maybe an hour away from us, crazy how quickly the change from city to burbs to backwoods shooting range in this state haha.
Also props on Weaveworld bro. |
Would love to head to a shooting range. Only been once, but it was a blast. Gotta have some different kinds of weapons though. It was fun firing an AK for the first time, but then switching to a Glock added some nice variety. Would love to go in with a Magnum, M-1, M16, and 12-gauge. Anybody who looks down on the concept of shooting guns as some kind of childish, macho fantasy bull**** needs to fire one. It's primally empowering to get in that zone that your ancestors probably regularly felt when on the hunt. I may not be cool with the idea of hunting in this day and age, but I can certainly understand the allure. I'd feel too guilty to ever do it myself, but I still imagine there would be an ambivalence if I ever did shoot a deer for sport.
I'll also never be able to take gun sounds in movies/TV seriously ever again. Guns are loud. Like, literally deafening. You have to wear headgear to protect your hearing when at a shooting range, and even a handgun is still so ****ing loud that you can't help but jump the first few times. I understand that many casual TV fans probably don't want to have gunshots with realistic volumes blasting from their television, but I just can't take those fake gunshots seriously. |
I suppose living in a desert wasteland does have at least one advantage...
|
@Bat even people who go shooting regularly still jump a little when firing. Next time you get a chance to go, load a random blank. You'll see your arm twitch anticipating the shot. Its a good learning lesson for anyone at the range, and very difficult to get over.

Last time I was on a range was 1986 at Ft. Jackson South Carolina in the Army. M16A1 w/40 rounds. I shot 38 out of 40 targets (50-300 yards w/pop-up targets) which got me an Expert Marksman/Rifle badge, and a helicopter ride back to the Barracks. http://www.wd-clan.nl/home/images/ac...ting_Badge.gif http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/f...my1988_003.jpg http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/f...Me_Head002.jpg There's an outdoor range not too far from me now, but these days I probably couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with an M198 Howitzer. |
Usually shoot a PX4 semi auto, or most recently the black powder which I believe is a .45 colt if I remember correctly. Either way, the thing is ancient, its not a replica. It was used once upon a time in old battles. That's my bf's baby haha. I'm gonna get one though.
****in nice on the badge man. One hit on each or superb grouping? |
