This is me literally boating down a river through the jungle to the Atlantic Ocean to reach a small island off the coast of Nicaragua called the Bluff. Most everyone there spoke English, the culture was very much Caribbean, I played games with all the random kids I met, and I ate a ton of fantastic seafood. Oh, also, I spent a considerable amount of time in the same room as an old, sick man who smelled strongly of urine. Just another part of the experience.

completely unnecessary selfie I posted on tumblr a few days ago.

I have this terrible habit of never actually putting pictures of myself in places where people I know actually see them, or just taking a photo because I like the way my hair looks or my outfit is nice, and then never posting the picture (and deleting it eventually).

I used to do portrait art. I've gotten so shy.

You need to join a self portrait community and do one of those projects either a 365 one or a 52 one.

Where you take a selfie either every single day or once a week.

As you go along you find more creative ways to take selfies.
