Thanks maybe that recent study was on to something.

They claimed that guys with heavy stubble makes men especially attractive to women.

Just Dee!

I never say this, but I like your style quite a bit.

Sansa Stark 07-03-2013 11:02 PM

Ooh shit I totally passed over him! Welcome DJ Dee Dame, your style is fucking awesome, is that your everyday dress or was that a special occasion?

I absolutely agree with this! My man has stubble on his chin all the time and it's so sexy.

I prefer an actual smoke, those e-cigarettes get repulsive after awhile.

No wai, I have flavoured cartridges too

Mojo 07-04-2013 06:43 AM

I was doing my research on e-cigs this morning, after I was standing smoking waiting for the bus and thinking "This was actually ****ing vile".

Really, if thats the case then whats the point? May as well see if I can get by with just a nicotine hit from an e-cig and maybe quit.

Sansa Stark 07-04-2013 06:46 AM

Some are really gross though they aren't all alike, my brand is Panda e-cigs, and I love it

I love Where's Waldo?! I actually went to the library a while back just to get one of the books to find Waldo. He's such a stud.

You're the blonde with the glasses peeking up in the far right, aren't you?

So many white kids with black t-shirts (one nonconformist in the back middle left decided to wear white!). Black elastic wristband wearers got to stand up front apparently. Oh so many raised hands with forefingers and pinky fingers lifted and facing forwards or back. I guess both directions are acceptable? Only one guy forgot to keep his thumb tucked.

This looks like one of the upper layers of hell.

Totally. If you didn't wear black, you were thrown out of the fiery depths. That white tee guy is one of the lucky ones. The black wristband wearers at the front are the actual band.

Too bad all the band tees being sold that night were black, it does make everyone look the same :(

Thanks for the gracious save, Lateralus. After posting I immediately felt guilty about possibly ridiculing you and everybody at that show, and was about to bury my head in the sand. Cheers to individuality and to my hope that I say nothing if I have nothing nice to say :)

Haha no way, ridicule away, I ridicule most members of the general public when I'm out anyway :)

Do you guys have Walmarts out there in Scotland? One Summer I went to one in Arizona at around midnight, and it was like the people watching Olympics.

We have ASDA's which are owned by Walmart. Same concept but smaller and most of the stores are grocery only, but the bigger ones have electronic/clothing/houseware departments.

Best place for people watching are bus and train stations. They're just like urban zoo's.

Nah we don't have Walmart but I think it's quite similar to our Asda's and Morrisons which are both supermarkets :).

The asda where I stay has an upstairs with a balcony and I love standing on the balcony just watching people do their shopping. I even like sitting on benches on Glasgows busiest street just to have a look at some of the weird and wonderful people of Glasgow.

That's like an adrenaline junkie version of the sport, you go into it knowing all the risks but love every minute of it.

I'm happy that you call him Wally, not Waldo! Seriously, it's like the whole "Sorcerer's Stone" thing...

I am an elusive being.

Haha, I never understood why American publishers changed "Philosopher's Stone" to "Sorcerer's Stone". It sounds so dumb.

WWWP 07-05-2013 10:14 PM

It doesn't sound dumb to those of us who grew up with it. :(

Well it's not actually dumb but it doesn't really make sense. Why would they do that? What was wrong with the original title?

The same reason they would abstain from publishing the 21st chapter of A Clockwork Orange in America, whereas the book is left in tact elsewhere in the world. For whatever reason they thought it would sell better. Marketing, man. It's fucked.

It doesn't sound dumb but it is dumb. Why not keep the actual title that the author called it? The whole marketing behind it doesn't make sense. Did they think American's are too silly to understand what a "Philosopher" is or something?! Is that word not used in the US? Like, what the.

They also changed a lot of vocab in the books when publishing them in America. Am glad I get to have all of the original versions with JK's original language in them!

Same with Where's Wally. Why change it to Waldo? Is Wally not a valid name in America?

It has something to do with the book being aimed toward children - they thought American children would be more likely to pick up a book with "Sorcerer" in the title as opposed to "Philosopher." I think it's dumb too, but having an amount of familiarity with the book industry -and Scholastic in particular - it does make some amount of sense.
