I've got to shave the hair for my new job that I start friday, disheartening but at least I'll be able to get a hood over my head to hide the shame somewhat.

When I was living in Wales I could get a pint of Guinness from Wetherspoons for 90p, and maybe around 1.30-1.50 from the local pubs. The trick to getting a good pint in the U.S. is to find a pub that pours it regularly and keeps their pipes clean. It also ensures that you get a properly poured pint, not that "Oh I'll just pour it like a pint of lager" crap I see so many "bartenders" do.

Try Guinness in Ireland, especially in Kerry. Its like drinking liquid tranquility.

I do, however, find great pints of Guinness in some places here and I think it does go to show that how responsible the landlord is, how it is stored and how it is poured does make the difference. I really am disheartened when I pay for Guinness and the barman/barmaid pours it straight out in under five seconds. Quote:
Happy days. I used to get pissed, get food and get a bus home with £15. |

On a side note, and I hope this doesn't freak anyone out, the guy on the right (Pimp) has since lost his right foot, and the Uni-Bomber (my buddy Joe) was killed by a train since this pic was taken. |
Wow. I'm really sorry to hear that.
