I think the better question is why are YOU NOT naked?

Naw, it's been about 100*F here in Missouri. It's not uncommon to take your shirt off to stay cool (for males anyhow).

My hair is naturally straight, it just curls a little at the end. However, if I try to curl it, it just doesn't curl at all! Or it will curl a little but then fall straight after an hour or so. I've tried every curling method except for a perm, because that's way too expensive and I don't want it to last for 6 months or whatever.

well that's fine because your hair is naturally straight but people that go out of their way to straighten their hair I think she's talking about. Just like how you have to go out of your way to curl it but it doesn't like to stay curled.

There is this stigma going around that straight = prettier so I think that's why a majority of women do it.

maybe I should fine tune that and say majority of black women with those damaging perms they like to put in their hair to get rid of their naturally curly hair.

i have natural curls, which go rather wavy when it grows long

i have no intention at all to straighten it

Not only your clenched fists but the way he is turned away from you a bit and I'm cracking up at the kid in the back. It's like he had to wear his dad's suit or something. The legs of the pants are all bunched up and the arms are a bit too long.

Oh you are look aight....I guess.

F = (9/5)C + 32 = (9/5)*(42) + 32 = 107.6 F = "Hot day" (in English).

Yay for math.

I could have misplaced some parenthesis, I'm not a goll-durn'd rocket scientist Andrei! I judge the weather my how much my hound dog hounds and how much big toe hurts, just like the old days, just like gawd intended.

^Nice pic, Yorke :) I see a clean shirt and part of a glass of wine. What's the occasion?

I'm a happy man these days because I just got some money (and beer and food) doing this ..

http://bilder.torden.org/diverse/toregl.jpg

And by some money, I mean like a real payment, not just enough to cover the buss fare. :D

FETCHER. 07-17-2011 12:53 PM

When I was on holiday I met a gentleman that quite resembled you and looked like he was from Norway. I took appropriate action and chanted Norway at him even after being told he was Canadian. I forgot all about that til there. It was all very blurry.

Good photo's also guys.

Dr_Rez 07-17-2011 12:53 PM

Good picture tore. What did you play?

FETCHER. 07-17-2011 12:55 PM

Guitar?

right-track 07-17-2011 01:23 PM

Judging by the hat, guitar and jumper it just has to be a Norwegian folk song, or a sea shanty...

Sigh. People with curly hair get damaging perms to make their hair straight; people with straight hair get damaging perms to make their hair curly. When will the madness ever end, dj? Where are the satisfied people??? Where? Where?

:)

There are so few satisfied people because the rest of them on constantly on the quest for what they think is beautiful instead of being happy with their natural hair or looks.

It's a shame really.

downwardspiral 07-17-2011 05:25 PM

I have curly hair and would rather die than straighten it.

Yup, it's generally marine-themed folk songs and sea shanties. Going out to sea, fishing, picking crabs and so on is what we do down here so that's what we sing about. :)

So many do, including other local folk singers from the area. When it comes to popular artists, I'm more likely to get inspiration from something like this :

But maritime-themed music isn't something I particularly look for.
