Heh, not here! Drinking age is 19 here. In the provinces of Quebec, Manitoba and Alberta it's 18. I don't get why it's 21 in the US. Poor things, having to go through university without a drop of alcohol :p:

It used to vary from state to state here. When I was a really little kid it was 18 in my home state.

It's always been 18 here (Australia) for as long as I can remember... though with the amount of drinking-related problems we have I can definitely see why 21 is a more responsible option.

I'm sure that underage drinking would still be rampant. If kids want alcohol, they're going to get it!

I couldn't imagine having a drinking age of 21. Where I grew up I'd say about 2/3 of people were drinking by 16 with a drinking age of 19.

I had my first drink at 9, with a glass of champagne for the millenium celebration. A once in a lifetime occurrence so it was totally okay!

My first drink was disgusting. Because I was a kid of about 7 or 8, riding my bike along the street we lived on at the time, and I saw a discarded beer can. Yes... I drank the hot, backwashed remnants of some stranger's leavings. It wasn't my most shining moment.

Haha. I didn't realize she was that young either. I was an 18 year old tripping on acid on New Year's Eve of the impending new millennium. I was a good boy though... I didn't really become an alcoholic until it was legal for me to do so. :D

Okay, maybe that's where I mixed up things. I was thinking more of on a federal level where each state has their own laws and you have to obey the law of the state in which the girl is a resident of and not where the act occurs.

I took that to an international level and it doesn't apply internationally.

the drinking age being 21 doesn't even matter. Most teens ARE drinking by 16 here in the states.

I think it's a nice change, when I first joined up there were zero female mods. There are a lot more gals on the forum now, so why not.

yeah I don't have an issue or problem with it and I just counted and it's not to that level yet but the I just thought it was about equal based off of which mods were active
