Greetings from The Kingdom of Bahrain. In case you've been wondering what I've been up to the last few months. Cheers.

Is that at the airport?
I passed through Bahrain on my route to R&R, and we had a layover at their airport, and I did exacry wut you did. Pitcher of mofuggin beer. Nice buzz after not drinking for 6 or 7 months. :D

Exif Data ftw.

And I still would recommend you buy something from a brand that has been making cameras for years (i.e. Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Minolta, Olympus). They are usually just that little bit better. Even when they're dead cheap.
Get yourself a Cann Powershot A490. I'm sure you'll like it :)

I was leaning more towards a sony cybershot but I've been reading a few bad reviews about it.

Sansa Stark 03-10-2011 02:13 PM

I still have my old Sony Cybershot, and I loved it. It was a great little point and shoot. I don't know if they've changed in quality since 2004, but it was a well made camera

s_k 03-10-2011 02:24 PM

They are good point & shoots, but there's not much cybershots that are really good.
The old Mavica's are good, the very expensive cybershots are good. I don't like the alpha's much, but then I am a canon man.
I'd always lean towards Canon or Fuji.
Oh and Panasonic has some nice littles cams.
I'm not saying the sony or the samsung are particularly bad, tue canon or fuji are just a bit better in the same price range.

holly984 03-10-2011 03:20 PM

lol! cute series of photos there!

s_k 03-10-2011 03:21 PM

Allright, since some is going to ask anyway...
Would you post a picture of yourself here? :D.

Loving all the pics. Everyone here is so damn hot. I want to make out with all of you. Except if you're underage. Or smell funny.

No, it's on the base where I'm currently stationed. My daily drinking average has been way up since getting here. It's pretty much all people do over here.

For the 4 years I have been here I dont think I have ever seen pictures you posted without a red cup in it.

Which reminds me of this morning. St P's is the 17th it is the 12th and granted I live near a lot of bars there were about 10 people in the parking lot next to my house drink from 9am to 12pm. They were all over 40.

FETCHER. 03-12-2011 01:42 PM

I'm so buying red cups for my next party. Soooo stereotypical.

Zaq! A proud nostril shot. :p:

No seriously, you are fluffier than I remember you being from the last photo I saw. That's a nice photo. You look very contemplative. We need to add one of those balloon things to show the deep thoughts you're thinking, though, such as:

"Does that cloud look like a cat?"

or

"Hmm. Perhaps I SHALL take the bus today."

Might. :D

This was a couple of weeks ago, when I woke up early and my friend failed to pick me up for skiing. Luckily someone else came through and my day wasn't ruined. But I could have slept an extra hour.

Fluffier. You carefully chose that adjective, didn't you? :) I'm starting to believe that Vanilla was right:

Wow, you must have paranormal powers, Erica! I've just realized that I was thinking about it, exactly at that instant. In fact, soon afterwards I was on the bus:

And I wonder: if you're able to guess the past, can you do the same about the future (e.g. the lottery)?

Exactly! That's just what I think too! Wittgenstein as a model and Foucault as an aesthetical nemesis. Both expressed through a brilliant James-Dean-like pose, in order to remark a profound pessimism on the human condition. And needless to say, in these cases trendy red glasses must be totally avoided, as a blatant fraud.
