Excuse me, but I was not "bitching". I simply asked a question and you guys got on your high horses about "noobs" and "nubblets" so yeah...at that point I went on to say exactly how I felt about that because I am a member here just like anyone else. Just because I haven't been here as long as others doesn't mean I am "less than". What is with this sophmoric attitude about new members. This isn't HS, I'd like to think we are all a little more mature than that.

It was a joke for God's sake. Even senior members call other senior members n00bs when they ask a silly question. It's long stopped being a "real" derogatory term...

Incidentally, you are obviously not a member here like everyone else, because unlike you, most other people come here to talk primarily about music. It's crazy I know. And to tell you the truth, considering how much other people, including myself, care about this board and how much effort we put in to make it better, I resent your attitude towards it a little. You bring nothing to the table, so really, you have no business asking to be treated with respect.

First of all...my question was not silly. I simply didn't know. I resent the fact that I can't even ask a simple question without feeling like I am being made fun of or ridiculed for my lack of knowledge on the subject. I don't know you from Adam....how the **** am I supposed to know what your sense of humor is? And on the other hand, you don't know me so I would appreciate if you didn't tell me to "chill out woman" and refer to my opinion and comments as "bitching".

2nd of all, I have come here to talk about about music. Why would I join a music board if I didn't ever want to talk about music? Unfortunately, I made the dire mistake of posting in this miserable thread so I get email every god damned day telling me of some new meaningless post. If you were observant enough you would have seen that I have only been a member since February of this year, so yeah, judging by my post count it seems as though I have talked about music on this board with respect to what little time to I have to come here and dig through threads to find things of interest to me.

Thirdly, I am seriously considering deleting my account here due to the elitist attitudes of many of the posters including yourself. I will give myself until tomorrow morning though, I might just be a little heated right now. I have gotten to know one member a little and he is very nice but I have other ways of staying in touch. I have more important things in my life than this board, I understand if you have loyalty to it...I have a board I feel the same way about but I really don't appreciate the attitude I see with a lot of people and believe me I am not easily offended unless I feel personally slighted.

So yeah, I'm gonna have to debate whether I want to stay at this site or not...but that's none of your concern obviously.

You have a fair point, but we do prefer members to stay on topic. And your right, this thread does tend to go off topic, but when another member flags a post for moderating (as was the case) then I, or another mod has to deal with it.
Your not being penalised and your welcome here, whether you post in music, or in the lounge.
And this goes for everyone, if a thread starts to go way off topic...make a new thread.

If it was my original question, I really don't understand that considering the way things on this site tend to off topic, a lot and people seem to argue a lot too. I'm having trouble understanding what made anything I asked or posted different.

We're not that overly strict here. A lot of stuff that gets posted off topic tends to get left alone and usually one of the regular members might make a tongue in cheek remark as a signal to get back on track. (see adidasss)
The main rule is, if you start going off topic, try and make it brief.
After all, noboby wants to trawl through countless posts of what somebody had for their tea the night before, when they are looking for a response to a photo they posted the previous day.
