Yeah it doesn't matter really, but back when I joined musicbanter I was the cool young'n who had good taste in music. If only I could have my youth back! :P

Hank The Drifter 01-26-2011 03:22 AM

Haha, I hear ya man. I've only got til March 3rd to be 16.

FETCHER. 01-26-2011 10:33 AM

Seventeen was the best year of my life so far. I might post a picture of me with blue hair, since I'm getting rid of it :). Mightn't.

Haha, the hair, mustache and sideburns have all grown out a bit since this photo was taken a couple weeks ago. I am probably going to trim all of it up tonight though.

boo!

Hank The Drifter 01-26-2011 02:30 PM

I wouldn't cut the sideburns off but I can't get them to grow properly. They grow to a certain point then they just make a huge patch of hair and don't grow down anymore. The mustache isn't going anywhere though.

He's only 5ish weeks old so far Rezz, much as I love him I'm hopeless with kids. This photo was taken before he arched his back and started crying.

s_k 01-26-2011 06:30 PM

Ahhw... Well you look really sweet with him. He just doesn't know what's right for him, yet :D

(love how you said '5 weeks so far' :D.)

Babies do that, K. It has nothing to do with you. Half the time I had no clue what caused my baby to cry. You just try different things (food, burping, diaper change, floor time, close hugging, rocking, walking, lights off, stillness), and when nothing works you just sit there with a howling baby. After months of this, you kind of get used to it...and waking up every 2 hours round the clock.

I remember my mother-in-law once thought she knew what to do to soothe my crying baby, which was to give him a pacifier (she was always trying to undermine breastfeeding and felt I should give him pacifiers and bottles). Since I couldn't figure out what was upsetting the baby, I gave him to her to try her "magic." She attempted to use the pacifier for several minutes. My baby continued to howl. Defeated, she handed him back to me.

That was a glorious moment.:)

Next time I'll make sure to get a picture directly under my nose so you can see if something is in it or not. Deal?

that's the main reason babies aren't cute to me. I just picture them crying and having to wake up so many times during the night.

but, I'm kinda weird.

I used to do that when my hair was longer. I looked terrible with straight hair so I stopped brushing it and took my showers at night. It looked pretty cool but then my hair got too long and it stopped working.

So, I cut my hair really short so that it would grow back curlier. Now I don't have to worry about my hair being too straight.

Most men like straight or a bit wavy hair rather than real curls.
Or at least most men I know :).
Most girls like curls. It's an age old thing.

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 01-27-2011 12:26 PM

My hair is curly and messy as ****. It always grows out to an afro then falls. I never really like the afro stage, but I'm growing it out so eh...

I'm kind of punky with my appearance, though. I try to be as cheap and unfashionable as possible. I can't stand commercialism narcissism. Growing my hair out, sideburns, and keeping my 'stache. Going to be as anti-fashionably budget taboo as humanly possible, dammit!

Actually, it goes into a definite King Buzzo like phase after it afros out, and before it falls. Hopefully, I can capture a record of it looking as than within the next few months.

s_k 01-27-2011 12:28 PM

Beard, trim it (with scissors) once a month. Comb my hair after I washed it.
That's all.

hah, I admit to this. Just the entire modern douchebag appearance that my friends try to force me into annoys me beyond belief. I find that whenever I find my friend wearing an Aeropostale shirt, it's almost as if she's advertising Aeropostale, since most of their shirts have the brand in big, bold letters. it's like they've become walking billboards. anyways, yay for anti-commercialism..

s_k 01-27-2011 01:03 PM

Most of their tshirts are kind of plain with an obnoxious AEROPOSTALE taking up 90% of the shirt. All of the girls I know are obsessed with these shirts.

What, they don't have Hollister in Canada?

In the bigger cities like Toronto they do. They're more abundant in the states. Whenever my friends go to Maine, they have tons and tons of hollister shirts in their arms.

Still equally douchey, though.

s_k 01-27-2011 01:15 PM

I usually look at faces. When I don't like the face, I don't bother looking at the shirt.

I usually like the girls who are dressed a bit messy and uninspired.
Jeans, shirt, sweater. Hair, no real hairdo. Casual.
Same goes for guys by the way, only I don't fall for the way they look.
Still. Beard, non-styled hair, jeans, bandshirt. Just fine.
