So why did you decide to start posting after all this time?

I joined here mostly because I'm sick of modern social media and this is one of the last few music forums still standing. I lurked a lot back in the day because when I was younger I was a bit more socially awkward and I preferred reading discussions to participating in them.

Honestly back then I just wasn't very secure in my own musical taste or my identity as a music listener. As I enter my mid-30s I finally feel like I'm entering my "IDGAF about what anyone considers good taste" era.

What do you not like about modern social media? And what are your thoughts on disco?

Depends on the site, but mostly it's just burnout from how fast paced other platforms are. I like a more relaxed environment compared to something like Reddit. And the less said about what Twitter has become the better.

And disco is generally great stuff! I'm sick of the overplayed hits, but it's a classic sound and I especially like early 80s synth disco, Hi-NRG and italo.
