I got one tick bite so far this summer. My usual method for avoiding them is just swimming in the ocean like basically every day and thus rinsing them off before they bite a hold of me.

If it doesn't work, at least they get tormented with cold baths.

You know the beautiful thing about septum piercings is you can just flip it up into your nose when your grandkids come around.

Nope it's fine. A horseshoe piercing is just as happy in your nose as hanging down.
