I met lots of really cool people at an anarchist book store collective space in Portland

That’s also where I got involved with food not bombs and critical mass

Who would've thought that your comment could be so controversial ? Although there have been a few happy exceptions in my life, I basically agree with DMcC, that browsing in a bookshop feels more natural when done alone. In company, I usually end up worrying about what book might be of mutual interest, etc.

In company, sitting down over coffee is always a pleasure, although for me, going for a stroll is an even better option. The movement and slowly evolving scenery is very conducive to a conversation that can be intimate, that can comfortably lapse, or that can lurch off in an unexpected direction.

@DWV : yeah, I had some doubts about the motivation behind posting a selfie, but then my craving for attention got the better of me

^ Brilliant!
afaik WWWP and me have been talking about a different kind of bookstore. You've even managed to make DMcC look like some naive innocent - and that's not an easy thing to achieve

I often browse bookstores in company, but for me that means each going their own way, and when you meet up you discuss the books you found. I think that's a nice middle ground between going solo and being social.
To me concerts are an occasion which many people whom I know view as social, but which I prefer to experience alone

The angle of the picture makes her look like a little kid in art class but what she's painting either gets like five gold stars or a snide comment by the jealous art teacher. I like the pic as an unintentional conceptual piece if my humor is not clear.

Thank you.
I look very young for my age, I don't look like 31 years old.

If asked, though, I'd confidently swear that the photos above and below show two completely different people, neither of whom is 31 years old. If you are posting photos of your younger sisters and claiming them to be yourself, I think it's time to own up.
