Tech department

I don't remember why I was in that room, that pic was taken in like July. That's also why I was dressed that way, when teachers aren't around we don't have a dress code.

So in other words we only have to dress business casual during the year because the teachers bitched one time about how the tech department got to wear whatever they wanted

A decent percentage of them are

It's pretty shocking how much variety there is. Some teachers treat me like I'm their Lord and Savior that's been sent down by God himself to bless them with my decent-but-still-relatively-limited-IT knowledge

Other teachers scowl and bask in the flowing hatred of 10,000 Satans anytime I'm in their presence

Other teachers are so indifferent to my existence that I will enter their room and they will actively go out of their way to not acknowledge my existence, which seems strange in 2018 given school safety concerns across the country

I was in this camp - I just wanted the tech person to do **** I should’ve done.

They’re self-conscious and always feel like they’re being judged.

Honestly, at a lot of schools the principal will take heed if anyone **** talks anyone so their concern might be more warranted than you think. Definitely goes in reverse too. Teachers will collectively decide they don’t like a tech person for almost no reason. It just spreads like a virus. We had a decent tech guy but the teachers got it their heads he sucked and he couldn’t shake it.

I would love to get my old teachers drunk and listen to all their gossip about what went on in school behind the scenes.

Back when I was a waiter my old Algebra 2 teacher came in with an empty growler and a hankerin for some heavy stouts

I obviously didn't get to sit around and chat but it was an interesting reminder that teachers aren't exempt from getting hammered
