It's a channel model for a neural cells, adapted to calcium concentration instead of membrane potential. It's one of the 4 or 5 channels in my neuron model for aplysia bag cell neurons.

I did some googling, sounds interesting. It's way beyond my understanding.. are you trying to find ways to speed or slow synthesis or bypass the membrane? If you can put it in layman's terms what kind of real world applications does this have?

Not entirely sure what you mean; I'm racial-category white, but not cartoon-colour white if that clarifies things at all.
