The difference between those massive wintry scarves and the keffiyehs appearing in the last few photos is that the latter are practical for day wear both indoors and out.

I have one scarf, and that was given to me as a secret Santa gift. I do love that scarf, though, but purely for its practical applications.

I hate scarves. I have one and it's never been cold enough to wear it. Those things feel suffocating to me. And way too hipster. And possibly meta-hipster.
