I just find it very ignorant. It doesn't offend me. I don't think it's inherently racist. I just find it very very very tacky. You probably have no idea what the meaning is behind that tattoo. You probably don't know where the style came from. That's literally etched into your body and based on your expression of it, you know absolutely nothing about it, even now, years later. You might as well have tattooed "dumbass" on your forehead at this point.

I don't know how you survive daily life with all the choices people make that you don't agree with.

Also, steer back into the not-personal-insults lane before you go too far and get pulled over.

By calling them out and then moving on with my life. I'm not losing sleep over this. I'm just telling you how I feel.

That's really hypocritical coming from someone who unapologetically ****s on and degrades entire cultures. A lot of people would consider your tattoo a personal insult.

Do you feel like you're accomplishing something, or ultimately wasting your energy? Also, do you ordinarily go up to white guys on the street and tell them how you feel about their tribal tattoos? What do they say?

What? This site isn't ruled by your interpretations of personal insults.

And if someone out there is personally insulted by the fact that I have a certain arrangement of marking on my skin, then let them say something. There's little I can do about it on the street, but in here, they can always adblock the picture...

If I didn't fear for my safety, I would. I've been conditioned to tread carefully when it comes to interacting with 30+ year old, hyper masculine, tribal tattoo doning white men on the street.

So what you're saying is that you don't care about what your stupid tattoo says about you.

No, he's saying that he doesn't care what you think about his stupid tattoo.

There's your answer.

I care that my stupid tattoo affects my life in a professional sense, but whether some random internet person is speaking on the behalf of hypothetical persons that may be insulted by choices I made a long time ago that are ultimately inconsequential, no, I don't really care.

So I wonder why you still do.

if I was in his position I'd probably condition myself similarly to soften the blow of my own objective inadequacies. Good point.
