Me and several of my Nicaraguan friends out in the countryside... don't worry, they're all having a good time, it's just not Nica custom to smile for photos.

Don't mind me, just climbing the slippery watertower in the rain to turn on the only water in the whole place.

This is my favorite kid in the dumps (a hard choice, trust me), Juan. He's addicted to sniffing glue, because it dulls hunger pains... most of the time he's high, and that causes him to not really know good behavior from bad (resulting in him trying to steal things or do very, very inappropriate behavior for a small child).

Great work you're doing!

On a totally different note, here's a picture of my girlfriend and me in the city of Maastricht

My girlfriend will be in South-Africa from september to december to help out in a township.

I don't even know who Tracy is but a quick google image search showed me and the similarity is clear as day.

Welcome back btw s_k

Are you out there as a part of a project? Whatever it is, hat's off to you sir. A touching story. No kid should ever go without food and having to resort to sniffing glue is gob smacking. Is there a recognised charity that I can donate to? I don't have much but would like to pledge a few quid.

I work as a missionary in Nicaragua, while also studying online for school. The people I am with are directors of Feed The Hungry Nicaragua, which is the Nicaraguan branch of the international Christian charity, Feed The Hungry, which aims to feed the hungry (if you couldn't tell from the name) across the globe. In Nicaragua we are feeding over 6,000 children... and soon, over 8,000. We also do other work, including school uniform drives and other similar things. I love what I do more than I can say.

If you'd like to look into giving, you can at Feed The Hungry's official website.
