VERY close. Let's just say that I knew of it second-hand...and sometimes literally "second-hand" before the prices rose on used albums and when certain bands were waiting to get their full over-due respect.

I grew up as a kid when Punk was happening and in an area where I was possibly the only one that actually wanted to hear of it (VERY small town, US).

I'd kill to have been in my teens/early 20's in the 60's. All that acid :).

I know what you mean. I dunno if I am always smiling when I am stoned. But I generally just kinda, my eyes just float if you know what I mean. When I am really stoned I get this weird thing where..you know the transitional space between your torso and your arm? I start becoming aware of those connections and the life that if flowing through them, it is really amazing and freaky at the same time. This happen to anyone else? Maybe I am not describing it well enough, I spose it is such a delicate connection, your think like....woah....my arms are attached to my torso...Like for real.
