I would not! Well, depends on who I am with. If I am actually with others and you introduce yourself as "The Mighty Salami" I would deny your existence, like anyone would. If we have a code word (or perhaps a hand signal) then we can just get along with it normally.

Tom, we have a difficulty here. On the one hand I could tell you my real name, which is Luke, but on the other hand you would look pretty weird shouting "Luke!" repeatedly in the food court. We should both wear music related T-Shirts or something.
