3D glasses have never ever given me headaches - only problem I have with them is that after prolonged periods of wearing them, I have trouble judging distances and focussing on near objects after I take 'em off

That's actually really funny.

s_k 03-28-2011 05:01 PM

What? I just read you're a muslim.
Or we have two Cruksters.

crukster 03-28-2011 05:09 PM

Yeah I am man, I'm from Turkey originally but I've lived in the UK all my life. Quite a lot of Muslims here tbh. Where do you think I learnt my ninja skills?

Quite a lot of muslims here too.
It's said some of the muslim extremists are trying to turn the whole world into a muslim world and we should be afraid. What's your vision on that?
(I like to point out: I am Not racist at all :))

EvilChuck 03-28-2011 05:32 PM

The muslim extremists are trying to turn the world entirely muslim, but the muslim extremists in my experience make up a tiny percentage of the muslim community in my area, who are peaceful and understandably embarrassed by the actions of the few that get media attention.

I'm sure there's some people that would wanna instate Sharia law worldwide. There are some people that are pushing to have it instated in Islamic communities here in the UK. Imo that defeats the purpose of living here, it shouldn't be one law for some another for others.

I don't think Worldwide Sharia law is the answer. I have an Uncle who says the whole World will be Islamic one day. But the way he means it if you actually talk to him, is that the whole World will one day be United; a World Society, and, not so much fundamentalistically, but not liberally either because liberalism equates to a floppy dik, no, MODERATLY, is the right word - moderatly the basic concepts of the Abrahamic Faiths will be agreed upon, accepted and taught worldwide, which is quite like what "Sufism" proposes. When it gets to that point, I really couldn't care what people call themselves; Muslim, Jew, Christian, etc. and I don't think it matters tbh. One Race, One Planet, One Universe, One Almighty God, in my belief.

I think people worry too much over the semantics of what things are called. What I am getting at is that's not important imo, imo its the things people do that are important, and Islam teaches a lot of good in that respect. As do Judaism and Christianity, if the minor differences between the 3 could be settled you'd find there's actually a lot of similarities.

I just wonder, the media seem to be scaring us with talk about Jihads, Koran, Fitna.
There have been some attacks by muslim extremists in europe and the USA the last couple of years and I just wonder, how scared should we be?

I mean, the same happened years ago with christian crusades and such, but I'm living now. And I am wondering what's actually going on.

I'd like to point out that this is in no way an attack to your religion or to your race.
I am just a bit worried because of the stuff you hear nowadays and, as silly as this may sound, you probably are the first muslim I talk to :D.

I'm not into any religion myself by the way. I don't see much good coming from religions and I'd prefer to have them gone. But that's another story.
I don't like any of them 'better'. It's like you say, they have so many things in common.
