i'm not sure but it sounds like this race talk is getting a bit, intense.
anyway, personally, it's not diffiicult for me to identify one person from the other belonging to the same race. but honestly, i have a bit of a hard time for white guys in person. On tv, i can spot the difference. But when i see a white man right in front of me, I can never tell if he's American or European, but I can't mistake him for another white man, that's for sure.

Howard the Duck 03-21-2011 06:51 AM

White Anglo-Saxon Protestants.

I don't even get the reasoning to that name. Lesson 1, don't educate yourself on wiki.

Howard the Duck 03-21-2011 07:06 AM

it's more PC than "whites"?

seriously, local media here has used that term since time immemorial

people who are White, come from Northern/Central Europe (Ango-Saxon), Protestants... meaning most of Scandinavia, The UK, at one time France, Germany the Netherlands, and many of the Low Countries. WASP isn't a wikipedia invention, it's a recognized historical term that is extensively used by experts and amateurs alike.

I also would have no idea what that meant. You aren't alone Kay. I was wondering why you were capitalising it.

PC has been taken FAR too far.

I get what your posts mean now.
